Best Hikes in Vail Colorado
Hiking in Vail Colorado in the fall is a sight, with Aspens at the ready to turn from summertime green to fall gold be sure to enjoy the following trails on your next trip:
- Upper Piney River Falls - A 5.9-mile out and back moderate hike, Upper Piney River Falls offers hikers amazing views of the Gore Range in addition to the tranquility of Piney Lake. Best hiked from May until October note this trail can be busy so be sure to start early to beat the crowds.
- Booth Creek Falls Trail - A 3.9-mile out and back harder hike, Booth Falls is a difficult hike with a 1,360 ft elevation gain. Worth every step, the waterfall at the top is sure to impress. Parking can be tough, be sure to get an early start.
- The North Trail - Is 12 miles of breathtaking hiking and biking through glades of forest north of Vail. The trial system, from end to end, runs from the Davos Road area in West Vail to the Spraddle Creek area in middle Vail and is typically broken into three sections east, west and middle.
